Welcome to the website for the Limerick Classic & Vintage Car Club.

The Club was set up in 1985 by a group of people who had a passion for classic and vintage cars. Over the years the club has grown and become an integral part of the local community. The club organises a number of interesting runs over the course of the year as well as running a large show in the Limerick area. The club also supports several other local clubs and charities by supporting their events.

Latest Updates

The committee of the Limerick Classic and Vintage Car Club would like to clarify that the club has no official connection or involvement in the "Irish Festival of Speed" event which is being held later this year in Adare. It seems that the festival of speed group are using footage of our event from last year as part of the promotion for their and this is leading to some confusion. We have requested that this footage be removed in an effort to avoid further confusion.

The club will hopefully host the second "Limerick Grand Prix" commemoration in September this year. Once we have the date confirmed and some more details available, we will promote the event and contact the relevant people.

Thank you to all who supported our St Patrick's day run on Thursday. With the amount of car clubs running events on this day, its difficult to attract a crowd but we had a good turnout for a finish.

Our next event is our Summer Run on Saturday 28th May and annual Summer Show on Sunday 29th of May at the fantastic Unigolf site in the National Technology Park, Castletroy, Limerick. The show has gone from strength to strength in recent years. It is widely known as one of the best VW show's in the british Isles but the show also boasts a diverse selection of classic and vintage car's of all marques.

The Mercedes Benz club have put on a fantastic display of cars at the show over the past couple of years which was organised and co-ordinated by the late Brendan Magan. Brendan was an avid Mercedes Benz owner and club member as well as a hugely respected member of our own club and will be sadly missed by all who knew him and had the pleasure of knowing him. The Picture below show's Brendan's 123 Series.

Also, please see our other website for details of the 75th anniversary commemoration of the 1936 Limerick Grand Prix Race later this year.
